For when it is seriously hot even at 7 in the morning, this smoothie is very light and refreshing, but still filling.
I throw in the Ninja:
A banana
frozen mango
frozen pineapple
spinach
chia seeds
coconut water
vanilla protein powder (my favorite one)

Pinterest tested recipe: chocolate cherry smoothie
Pinterest recipe here
I still love my favorite smoothie, but I started looking to branch out a little and my search for new smoothies to try led me to Pinterest, of course.
It is certainly not like a real milk shake and the chocolate protein powder is not as sweet as you would think. I had to experiment with this and ended up adding two bananas and some dried dates to make it sweet enough.
I've been making it quite a few times, ad it is going into rotation.

new smoothie recipe
and I say both "new" and "recipe" in the loosest meaning of the words. Because throwing bananas and strawberries in a Ninja is not really new nor is it really a recipe but, it is not my old favorite smoothie recipe (here) that I've been making for months, and I am finally branching out....Going for a whirl in the Ninja:
combination of frozen strawberries and fresh strawberries
banana
greek yogurt (my favorite raved about here)
splash of milk
one or two medijool dates (raved about here)
protein powder
Small handful spinach

Smoothie breakfast with Nutri-Ninja
My breakfast is basically throwing things in the nutri-ninja (maybe my best purchase ever!) and seeing how it taste. I usually throw in some protein powder, but I am currently out of it. This morning's concoction:
A splash of milk
Tablespoon or two of Greek Yogurt (Fage plain is my favorite)
Banana
Half an Apple
Handful of spinach
Frozen blueberries

My favorite smoothie in the Nutri-Ninja
I was really on the fence about the nutria-ninja. I've been using a blender to make my favorite smoothies, so why do I really need a little smoothie machine?
I've used it three times in the last five days and feel like I can knowledgeably review.
Definitely, a good purchase. Smoothies have never come from my kitchen so smooth, creamy and well blended.
I feel like I'm having a smoothie from a fancy smoothie place and not in my own kitchen.

Banana- Almond-Oatmeal Smoothie Recipe: Pinterest tested Recipe
Another Pinterest recipe here.
My observations:
I need a powerful blender. Chopping up almonds is no joke.
This is very thick.
It doesn't really have much taste.
Will I make it again?
I'm on the fence....Perhaps I'll play with it a bit, add some vanilla and ... it needs something else... Its not going into heavy rotation.
